After sleeping in, we walked to “Sister Srey Cafe” for a late breakfast. I got a Flat White with Corn Fritters, Trevor went with an Americano and an Avocado Sandwich, splitting the fries with me.
We discussed our return home as we walked back to the guest house. This conversation gave me anxiety. I felt like I had so much to do in such little time. Family and friends wanted to see us within the 10 days that we’d be back home before we started hiking the Appalachian Trail, and I had several things, my mentality for one of them, to get in order before we started our hike.
Instead of wandering around town, I decided to stay in and slow down a little bit while writing in my journal. Trevor got antsy so he headed out to explore on his own. He bought a couple cheap tank tops while he was out, and sat through a very painful live band performance at one of the bars he drank at. He said the show was more like band practice, and it scared all the clientele away, including himself. He purchased our bus tickets before we went out together for dinner at “Homecocktail Bar and Restaurant.” This time, I wish I had ordered what he ordered. He got the vegetable lasagna, and I got stuck with a very bland and boring veggie stir fry. We had a nightcap at “Charlie’s Bar” before turning it in.
