After breakfast, we walked to Bitexco Financial Tower to see a 360-degree view of Ho Chi Minh City from their skydeck. We arrived there a little too early, so we walked across the street to get coffee at “Unclosed Coffee.” It would have been awkward if they weren’t open. Starting there, we would experience a pattern of incredibly small portions of hot coffee sold throughout Vietnam. This would soon drive Trevor crazy.
Although the windows were a little dirty and hard to see through, the views of Saigon were nice! I also loved that they had touch screens showing you the location of points of interest across the city.
Afterwards, we walked to “Viet Restaurant” for lunch. I got the pineapple fried rice, and Trevor got caramelized mushrooms with tofu in a clay pot. We let our food digest back at the hostel, then crossed the street to book transport to Da Lat, while waiting for a bus to take us to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
