We both felt like we had the plague in the morning. Sore throats, coughing, nausea, infinite poo… loads of fun. As sick and hungover as we felt, we still insisted on forcing ourselves out of bed to try to join the others for breakfast so we could say goodbye to Barbara who had an early flight back to her home in Italy.

We would return to bed and sleep in until noon, then we’d meet the Aussies to run some errands around town. We found some much needed cough syrup and toiletries, as well as a few more toys to donate to the children’s charity we’d be checking out later on with the “swear jar” money collected in the truck. Sadly, we didn’t find pens which was insane since we’ve had them shoved in our faces nearly everyday since arriving in India.
Trevor also failed to find flip flops in his shoe size. An Indian man did offer him half the price on flip flops that were three sizes too small. What a bargain! It was an offer we COULD refuse, so he did.
We returned to our room to finish recovering and to mellow out before meeting the new members of our crew downstairs for the Welcome meeting. After saying goodbye to Rick, we packed up and called it a day.
